  1. The SALT deductions will help him in NY, but I doubt he will carry the state. That said, I think he was there for several reasons: 1. Help NY Congresspersons in their races. 2. Take advantage of the nation's largest media market. 3. Perhaps get enough votes from NY, CA, IL to win the "popular" vote, which doesn't really count, but would deny Democrats a "moral victory".
