  1. I keep 40 gallons of fuel for my whole house generator for each hurricane season. I keep the generator filled with non-ethanol fuel and run it 30-45 minutes every month. The fuel for emergencies (regular E10 gasoline) is filled up in June and whatever is not used is transferred out and used in my car after hurricane season. Any E10 that may be in the generator after hurricane season is drained out, used in the car, and the tank refilled with non ethanol. I do not use any fuel stabilizer as I do not store fuel for more than 6 months.
