  1. Great video and test as always. FWIW The price you paid for the Petersen DeWitt 9LN ($95) is actually pretty good for a "New, old stock" tool in the box. You can find "used" for less. Of course, with a used tool, there is no assurance it will perform as the test tool did. And locking pliers are often found damaged, they tend to get abused. I have found Estate sales to be treasure troves for tools of all kinds. And you can handle them and make sure they function correctly. Check online listings of local estate sales (not garage sales). They usually show lots of photos and when you see a sale that has lots of tools offered, mark your calendar! Get there early. Tools and anything related to guns or fishing go fast! Small hand tools are often overlooked by the selling companies and tossed into bins marked "$5 each". Do some digging in the boxes and bins and you will find some treasure. Armed with information from your reviews I have assembled an impressive collection of the best (tested) tools. My wife keeps asking..."How many tools do you need?" ALL of them. 😎
