My wife was born and raised in Kharkov, Ukraine. You can be sure she KNOWS about all these heroes! The former Soviet Union has not forgotten their heroes! My wife proudly has her grandfather's medals and citations for his two "Order of the Red Star" awards for his service as an engineer in the Great Patriotic War for making his way through minefields and deactivating mines in advance of Soviet offensives. I would encourage people to PLEASE do not support people who are selling FSU medals. Not only is it illegal in the FSU to sell these, those belong to a hero's family. If you want to collect the civilian medals, that's one thing, but medals won by war heroes, from any country, should be in the hands of their family!
