  2. Simple question to anyone who opposes this legislation: WHY are the residents of Texas somehow unable to handle the same FREEDOM that the residents of TWENTY OTHER STATES can handle? The Chief of the Dallas Police Dept. opposed "shall issue" concealed carry also. Big city police chiefs are hired by big city Democrat politicians. Big surprise that they are opposed to FREEDOM. Never assume that police officers on the job have similar views on this (or any) issue as the Chief does. FWIW I am a retired LEO (37 years on the job) and I have no issue with Constitutional carry. None whatsoever. I can tell you from much experience...the bad guys are already carrying guns without a license!
