  1. I have a Colt Mustang Pocketlite .380 which definitely says "Colt .380 Auto Mustang Pocketlite" on the slide. It does not say "Mark IV" It has an alloy frame and stainless steel slide. I bought it in the 90s as an off duty/deep concealment gun to replace my Walther stainless PPK/s in that role. It was one of the first really small, really light .380s...not as small and light as others to come later, but pretty impressive for the time. I still have it, and the stainless PPK/s, but the deep concealment role is now filled with an even smaller and lighter S&W M&P .380 Bodyguard. The design of the Colt (and the equivalent SIG and Kimber .380s) is somewhat flawed for the role because they are single action and should be carried "cocked and locked", they can't just be dropped in a pocket the way a DA/SA or DAO hammer fired gun can be. This means I carried it in an OWB leather holster. Nothing wrong with that, but it isn't a gun you can just grab and drop in your pocket. Despite the name...it really is not a good "pocket pistol".
