  1. Thank GOD Merrick Garland is not in a lifetime position on the Supreme Court! And he is no longer a federal appeals court judge. He'll be unemployed after Biden loses in 2024.

  2.  @timothyroatenberry1274  What/who are you "agreeing" with? I did not say, or even suggest, SCOTUS Justices should be elected. They absolutely should not be elected. The purpose of appointing them for life is that they can be impervious to the whims of the electorate. Their job is to interpret law relative to the Constitution, not to what is popular at the moment, and act as a check on the elected legislature/President. If we just make everything an expanded "House of Representatives" what is the point of having separate branches of government and what are the "Checks and Balances"? And neither should Senators be elected. Repeal the 17th amendment.
