But see, here's the thing...Presidents CAN declassify documents. Vice Presidents CAN NOT. Is there some part of that you do not understand?

I am more troubled that Biden is allowed to drive.

@dondumitru7093 Well, then. Trump will be indicted at any moment. They got him now! 🤣 Sleep well.

@chrisrecord5625 10 CFR § 95.37 - Classification and preparation of documents. Irrelevant to the question of how the President is limited in declassification. Did you even read it? Not an answer.

@VirrealWorld Please site the "mandatory procedures" the President must go through to declassify documents and the statute requiring those procedures. I'll wait here.
2
@motivate668 I didn't say the President could just "think about it" What is the process? Cite the statute defining the process. I'll wait.
2
@chrisrecord5625 I do not speak for the "Trump team". I didn't say any of that. Argue it with someone who did. Besides the Constitution, can you cite any federal statute that limits the President's ability, or creates a "procedure", for the President to declassify documents. I'll wait.
2
@chrisrecord5625 So...cite the procedures. I didn't say there weren't any. I asked you to cite them. You haven't. Waiting...
2
@chrisrecord5625 You didn't give ANY statute. Regulations and executive orders ARE NOT statutes. But I see now you are trying to claim victory and surrender. Bye.
2
@chrisrecord5625 You cited no statute limiting the authority of the President to declassify documents. Typical Democrat. Lies and runs away. Good bye, Chris. You're dismissed. Nice try.

Who do you think the Democrats are trying to replace Biden with? Kamala? Or do you think they just want him to drop out of the 2024 race? Another "batch" of classified documents were found to day at his home in Delaware by "his lawyers"
2
@royblack7305 And what does that have to do with Biden stealing classified documents while he was Vice President?

@amitsunoko7270 And what does that have to do with Biden stealing classified documents while he was Vice President?

@hughjanus5518 No. I did not say that. Please read carefully, interpret literally.
1
@VirrealWorld I didn't say Trump could "just think it". I said "Presidents CAN declassify documents." And I know you are spending your time looking for the statute mandating the "procedures to declassify" for the President, so let me help. There are none. The procedures to record the President's directives to declassify come after the fact.
1
@chrisrecord5625 Biden can now declassify documents. Are you asking if former government employees can move classified documents to unsecure locations and then...in the future, if they are President...they can declassify them retroactively so having them in their son's garage is OK? NO. They can't.
1
@edwardpf123 So are you saying it is OK to store classified documents in Hunter Biden's garage if, in the future, you become President? Well, then, why were they "returned"

@chrisrecord5625 PART 1312 - CLASSIFICATION, DOWNGRADING, DECLASSIFICATION AND SAFEGUARDING OF NATIONAL SECURITY INFORMATION Applicable to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) NOT the President. Not an answer. Did you read it? Executive Orders are NOT statutes and can be reversed by the next President. Oh, and CFRs are federal regulations. Not statutes. STATUTE, Chris. Cite the STATUTE that limits the PRESIDENTs ability to declassify documents. I suggest you RAED anything you cite first. I will.
