  9. Trump had -0- experience in 2016. No candidate for President in your lifetime was a former President. The last time a former President ran for President was 1912. Teddy Roosevelt. He lost. The best launching pad, statistically, for a Presidential race is, and always has been, being the Governor of a state.

  12.  @dorakogen1492  YES, race and/or gender DOES matter. You want to pretend it doesn't? The age of "Two white guys" running for President and VP are over. I suspect you will never see such a ticket again. And it was never a good idea for two men from the same state, or even the same region of the country to run together. Clinton/Gore drew a lot of criticism for that, and if it hadn't been for Ross Perot siphoning off Republican votes in both 1992 and 1996, Clinton would never have been elected. There will be a woman and/or a black or Hispanic on every President/VP ticket from both parties from now on. Republicans would be idiots not to. There are lots of great black/Hispanic and women Republicans for the job.
