@obummersux Correct! Glass Steagel was ended by Clinton (July, 1999) to allow more minorities to buy homes. Later, the same policy was decried by the people who supported it for resulting in "predatory lending" against minorities. It WAS the cause of the 2007/2008 housing bust.

@JustinRok78 % growth does not = "best ever" It is a comparative number. When you HAVE the best economy ever and you STILL grow it 2% + that's a really good thing. And that is why the economic experts are pleased with these numbers. You are NOT an economic expert as exhibited by your posts. For example...West Virginia has had the highest % increase in state GDP and wage GROWTH of any state in the last 2 years. That's a good thing. But it does not have the highest GDP and wages of any state. CA has the highest GDP and wages of any state, but their GROWTH is much less than WV. When a state, or the US economy already has high GDP and wages, it is harder to grow them further. As the economy gets better and better, it gets harder to make it better and better. Math is hard, Justin.
