  1. He will be confirmed. Look, this Susan Collins and Murkowski stuff if overblown. Murkowski really LOVES being the chair of the Energy Committee, it assures her re-election in Alaska. She isn't going to risk doing something to cause the Repubs to lose their majority (and her Chairmanship). Collins? She plays the "swing vote" role perfectly. She uses it to get stuff for her state that Maine could never get otherwise. It makes her more powerful than she otherwise could be. She is going to play it to the max right now, because when Repubs pick up 3-5 more seats this fall, she will lose that role. They are both going to milk this for some concessions and then vote with the rest of the Republicans. He will also get 3-4 Dem votes. He will be confirmed by 54 votes.

  3. Jackluck2...do not doubt me, I am not guessing. Here is what I said a week ago... gary K 1 week ago Possible. I would put my money on Kavanaugh from DC Circuit right now, but you may be correct. There is also an Indian/American on the list and several minority judges.
