LL Bean? Who buys guns at LL Bean?

There is no provision for the government to repeal limits on the government. The government does not grant rights and cannot take them away. The 2nd amendment "gives" no rights. We HAVE the rights. The 2nd amendment, and Bill of Rights, limits what the government CAN NOT restrict.

I am not too upset to see the "big box" sporting goods stores dropping sales of guns. Hopefully it will drive their sales to the local gun shops who need your support and who are staffed with people that are knowledgeable of firearms.

Me neither! When I was young Ambercrombie & Fitch sold high end guns, I mean top end British doubles and such. They started as a hunting outfitter. I also remember when Marshall Field's in Chicago had one of the best gun departments in America. LL Bean, I know for overpriced fishing equipment and more recently, trendy clothes. The Dept stores used to have their own store brand guns "Ted Williams" for Sears and "Westernfield" for Montgomery Wards. Western Auto was the largest retailer of firearms in the US at one time. They all went out of business or stopped selling guns and crime...went up!

Jim...ANY good quality gun has a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. We do not need anything from LL Bean.

I live in Florida. I only wear SOCKS 3-4 days a year and then complain that it is so cold I have to wear socks. If it is too cold (or too formal) for boat shoes and no socks, I am not interested. The LL Bean policy will likely go unnoticed in my household. However, I have heard of the Home Depot and Lowe's "FREE rental program" where people buy a generator with their store credit card in July, keep it for 90 days and return it for a full refund at the end of hurricane season. Sounds something like that

No, doesn't matter. Used or not. Take it back within 90 days with receipt and you get your money back. No questions asked. Since the stores offer "6 months same as cash" for any purchase over $300 with a store credit card, they don't even get the interest. In the north, people do the same with snow blowers and window air conditioners. After they check out the returned items, they sell them for a discounted price. End of the season is a good time to buy discounted stuff.
