I was in Kiev one time and spotted a place advertising itself as an "American Style Hamburger" joint, complete with Ukrainian interpretations of 1950s Americana decor. (that's another story) "I would like a double cheese burger, fries and Coca Cola, please" The waitress came back in a few minutes and said "I am sorry sir, but we have no hamburger bread" Undeterred, I said "OK, I will take it on regular bread, just don't tell any other Americans that come in here" She came back a few minutes later and said "I am sorry sir, we have no hamburger meat". That said...Popeye's has a long way to go to match the drive thru service at Chik Fil A, even if they had buns.
