  1. A lot of the oil production in the USA is on federally owned property, including offshore oil production. The President can shut down oil production on federal land. It is within his power and courts can't stop it. This is how Trump was able to make us energy independent. The USA has huge amounts of oil. It is only government bureaucracy that prevents it from flowing freely. Pipelines that cross state borders fall under the commerce clause of the US Constitution and can be controlled by the federal government. One of the reasons that Texas will not buy, or sell, electrical power across state lines is to prevent federal control of ALL it's electrical generation and distribution.
