  1. Nothing like a gas tax battle to help Republicans! You GO! Gas tax! Math for dummies... There are 31 "vulnerable" Republicans seats in this year's elections. The Democrats need to win 24 of them (77.4%). 3 of those "vulnerable seats" are in districts which very well may nominate TWO Republicans in tomorrow's CA "jungle primary", cutting the Dems out entirely. If that happens, Democrats will have to win 24 of 28 "vulnerable seats" (85.7%) and those vulnerable seats seem to become less vulnerable every day. Who could imagine that the Dems running the state legislature would give a GIFT of a gas tax to the Republicans in an election year? THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! And the Senate? 10 Republican seats up for election, NONE considered "vulnerable". 23 Democrats up for election, TEN of them considered VERY vulnerable. Can you say "Red wave a'comin'"?
