Men and women this age...yes this age, and even younger, AFTER surviving a depression, purges and famine...SAVED THE WORLD from Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo... in B-17s, Sherman tanks, parachuted from C-47s, landed on islands in the Pacific and beaches in Normandy, Italy and North Africa, while being fired on BY MACHINEGUNS AND ARTILLERY. Fought in jungles and deserts and artic conditions, FREED people of all genders and religions from tyranny, torture, and genocide! And, for an encore, they came home, made babies, built suburbs, interstate highways, eradicated dreaded diseases like polio, tuberculosis, measles and went to the moon and back. Several times. Pray that we never ever need them to do those things again.
