  1. Are you missing something? Yes. Evidence. Lots of it. First, prosecutors would have to PROVE, with evidence, that Brian Laundrie killed or injured Gabby. THEN they would have to prove, with evidence, the parents knowingly and intentionally hid or destroyed evidence or knowingly and intentionally lied to police. When/if they get that evidence, the parents would be arrested. The ONLY crime Brian Laundrie has been charged with, so far, is using a debit card that didn't belong to him. Making no sense or being suspicious is not illegal. It IS suspicious, so I am sure LE is looking into it.

  2.  Écrivain  And if that is true, that he lied to his parents, then his parents are not complicit. Very common. By lying to his parents he protects both himself and his parents. His parents can't "lie to police" because they don't have the truth.
