First they have to take it to the DC District Court, then the DC Appeals Court Panel, then the DC Appeals Court en banc, THEN the Supreme Court. Democrats did it to get Trump's tax returns.   7. We don't. That's an administrative procedure that can be changed by the head of the administration. The President. It used to be stabdard procedure for every President to appoint a new FBI Director. The claim was made that it was very disruptive and that a 10 year term...subject to termination for cause, would provide more continuity for a Department that is supposed to be non-political. Trump terminated Comey before his 10 years was up. It is NOT a law, it is not in the Constitution. Trump then appointed Wray, and could have fired him. But he didn't.
