The college she was the President of went bankrupt (Burlington College) and defaulted on loans. The market value of the property the college owned was less than what was stated on loan papers she had signed. Again, the lenders had approved the loan amounts and had had the property appraised prior to making loans. His wife was never charged with a crime. Can you imagine if every homeowner that ever defaulted on a mortgage and then the lender found the home's market value didn't cover the outstanding balance was charged with a crime!?!?!?!?

There was no evidence presented that ANYONE was a "bad guy" and no such evidence exists. This deposition is an attempt to find evidence. That isn't how it works in a free country. Lawyers call it a "fishing expedition". Trump has appealed the case. If necessary he can appeal it to the Supreme Court.

The last time that happened, the ONLY time, was 1787. To RATIFY a Constitutional Amendment, whether proposed at a Convention of the states OR by a 2/3 vote of both chambers of Congress, it needs to be agreed to by 3/4 of the state legislatures. On the other hand, the Constitution already allows the electorate to limit terms every two years. We call it an "election". So far, this primary season, a bunch of Congresspersons have been "term limited" by electing their opponent as the candidate in November. Many more to come.

Early voting ends the Sunday before the election .We DO have absentee ballots that have to be requested in advance AND have to be returned before the polls close. If they are mailed in and received the day after the election...they don't count. Voter ID is required for all ballots. But we were ONLY able to do that with an overwhelming Republican majority in the legislature and a Republican Governor. Arizona need not apply. Instead of trying to return the election process back to 1980...ONE election day with in-person ballots, seems like Republicans need to embrace and USE the system we have the way the Democrats do.

What the penalties are for STATE Grand Jurors doing something like she did depends on the state. There were no "leaks" about the case and the case was closed without charges. 🤷‍♂ The student loans for Burlington College were cancelled and US taxpayers got to foot the bill. The former students are still working at sandwich shops and coffee houses in Burlington. Some got seasonal jobs in the cafeterias of ski resorts. In August, 2016 Sanders bought his third home on 1.13 acres on North Hero Island in Lake Champlain with 500 ft. frontage on Lake Champlain. Price was $600,000. That is a LOT for a North Hero Island home. It is his "summer home", and is about 45 minutes drive from his "winter home" Coincidence. I'm sure. Bernie...America's favorite socialist millionaire!

I asked him his position on some issues and he gave me clear answers...and was very frank and direct in doing so. After a few minutes, we wished each other a good day and went about our shopping. These people ASK to be our representatives, they actively seek our votes. They should NEVER run away from their constituents or reporters. In fact they should WELCOME every opportunity to interact with the voters who elected them. Oddly enough, I didn't see anyone else talking to him in the store. Do YOU know your representatives?   470. Congress is not law enforcement. They can't "indict" anyone for anything. All they could ever do is "make a referral" to the DOJ. The DOJ can't run a scam trial. They have to allow "evidence" to be cross examined, representation of the accused and all that inconvenient stuff Congress doesn't have to do. The DOJ can't choose the jury, can't cut the jury from 12 to 9 arbitrarily, can't deny the accused witnesses. The DOJ didn't even pursue 2 of the 4 referrals for contempt. Contempt is a pretty easy charge to prove. But a minor charge that usually results in a fine of $100-$1,000. Contempt is a "process crime" having nothing to do with the subject of the "investigation".

But criminal charges require attorneys and witnesses for BOTH sides and cross examination of all witnesses AND a unanimous jury. Not a majority of a rigged committee. "Contempt of Congress", a minor misdemeanor that requires nothing but showing a person didn't comply with a subpoena, should be easy to prove. Yet only 2 of the 4 people referred for prosecution were charged. And that's for a fine of and jail sentence up to 1 year but likely nothing. Most likely a $1000 fine and 1 year probation. If Bannon or Navarro, for example, are convicted of contempt, they will appeal. After Republicans take control of the House, they will decline to answer the appeal and Bannon's conviction will be reversed. It will all be 2 years in the rear view mirror before the 2024 election. It's just political noise.

Despite all the speechifying and posturing in the Senate...I fully expect the House to strip out these two amendments (cutting off funds to cities who defund police and the CRT ban) in debate. They will not be in the House passed version of the bill. It will then go to conference committee (behind closed doors) where you should not expect any posturing (or hugging) by Senator Booker or Manchin. The complete bill, without these amendments, will be presented for a vote in the Senate and pass...without these amendments. You doubt me? Don't. Manchin and Booker and the others got their day in the sun and Liberal Hivemind helped. Why do they do this? Simple. Senators are elected "at large". The whole state gets to vote for them. There are no Gerrymandered Senate "districts". No "safe" districts in a Senate race. Booker and Manchin have to publicly appeal to every voter. They just did. They did so, knowing their compatriots (comrades?) in the House will "fix it" for them. Booker will have something to appeal to the people of NJ who don't want to defund the police, but the amendment won't survive, so the people who want to defund the police, still can. The Senators get re-elected (the US Congress has a lower turnover rate than the "Supreme Soviet" had during the USSR) This happens all the time at state and federal levels. Good example...Louisiana Constitutional Carry Bill. The Democrat Governor announced early in the process, he would veto any bill passed by the legislature. This gives Democrats from strong pro-2A districts the "green light" to vote for the bill and claim to have supported it..."See, I voted for that there bill. Yesiree Bob!" The Governor then vetoed the Bill and the Legislature fails to convene an override session. Voila!!!!!!!!! There is no Constitutional Carry, but the Legislators will all tell their voters they voted for it in their re-election campaign.   513. These are prosecution witnesses, did this dumbass prosecutor not KNOW what they were going to say? I am not sure his possession of a rifle under Wisconsin law was "illegal". He didn't steal it, he didn't purchase it. It can easily be argued he did not violate ANY state statute for possessing a rifle. Exemptions to state statute 948.60 on age restrictions would seem to indicate he was NOT in violation. Open carry of firearms is legal in Wisconsin. Worst case, it is a class A misdemeanor. UP TO 9 months in jail and UP TO a $10,000 fine. That's it. Most first offense Class A misdemeanors are handled with probation and a fine.
