  1. This committee is formed for the singular purpose of preventing someone from running for office. If anyone thinks that Democrats can still "rig the election" this committee is proof that they know they can't.

  2. Congress is not law enforcement. They can't "indict" anyone for anything. All they could ever do is "make a referral" to the DOJ. The DOJ can't run a scam trial. They have to allow "evidence" to be cross examined, representation of the accused and all that inconvenient stuff Congress doesn't have to do. The DOJ can't choose the jury, can't cut the jury from 12 to 9 arbitrarily, can't deny the accused witnesses. The DOJ didn't even pursue 2 of the 4 referrals for contempt. Contempt is a pretty easy charge to prove. But a minor charge that usually results in a fine of $100-$1,000. Contempt is a "process crime" having nothing to do with the subject of the "investigation".
