  1. As soon as Trump "officially" announces, he will come under the rules of the FEC for fundraising. I would LOVE to see Trump announce his candidacy on January 6, 2023. But I expect he will announce at his first rally AFTER the mid-term election, probably in Florida. There are a lot of potential candidates who simply won't run at all if Trump announces. An announcement at a rally in Florida would be a big message to DeSantis. Trump used his newly renovated 757 to fly to the rally in Texas on Saturday.
