  1. Do I like this? NO!!! This is clearly a backdoor attempt to give it to gun owners in the "back door". It is a frustrated attempt by a failed regime to get what they can't get through legislation and/or litigation. Nothing will change in a year. That said: When a void exists in the supply of something there is a demand for, someone will fill that void. I expect other importers will soon grab their piece of the of the 22% of the pie lost by the Russians and even some of this will be made up for by domestic suppliers. For all those that ask "Why don't ammo factories just build more capacity?" THIS is why. When the shortage is over, we will all go back to buying cheap imported ammo and they will be left with unused factories. Maybe this will encourage further domestic ammo development. Other importers will jump in to fill the void of Russian ammo, even before it is all eliminated. They want to get their piece of that pie. Remember, that when Colt cut back, and even eliminated, AR15 sales to civilians, dozens, if not hundreds, of suppliers filled the void with the rifles we use today. Prices on the AR platform rifles dropped and supply increased. As long as we have capitalism (another topic for another day) there WILL be market solutions to supply problems
