Ukraine will cut off or cripple supplies and access to the peninsula (there are only 3 points of access) and all fresh water supplies (80% of fresh water in Crimea is provided by 1 canal originating from the Nova Kakhovka area) No supplies, insufficient water. There will be no option but to abandon Crimea, exit across the Kerch straight by ferry or by ship from Sevastopol.

  14. Our youngest son is fighting for Ukraine on the eastern front. He lives in Kharkiv. Our daughter in law and grandson fled to Germany. Some of my relatives' homes in Kharkiv have been destroyed. Seeing Russians who invaded Ukraine die instead of my son is not heartbreaking for me. You just don't have any skin in the game. Must be nice to go to bed at night and know your children are safe. It lets you concern yourself with the well being of invaders.

I would like to see NATO provide peacekeeping troops in the uncontested areas of Ukraine...the Belarusian border and the Russian border where the areas have been liberated, including air defense systems. Let the Ukrainians concentrate on winning back their country in the areas where the war is and give them the weapons they need to WIN.

Ukrainian pilots have been training in the UK on similar generation UK jets with similar operational characteristics, using the same weapons systems, radar and other functional aspects. The UK may also be supplying some of it's jets to Ukraine. The US has been evaluating Ukrainian pilots on F-16s in the USA to determine the training curve to fly F-16s and have determined they can train Ukrainian fighter pilots, experienced in flying MiGs and Soukois, to fly F-16s in about 4 months. I believe the first operational F-16s in Ukraine will be piloted by retired/former NATO F-16 volunteer pilots. An organization has been assembling volunteers for this. They have the pilots, they just need the planes.

I would like to see NATO, or a coalition of willing countries, send armed and equipped peacekeeping troops to undisputed regions of Ukraine...say west of the Dnipro river and ALL border areas of Belarus and Russia not currently involved in fighting, AND the border with Moldova/Transnistria, to include air defense to enforce a "no fly" zone.   50. The largest city captured by Russians in this war was a Russian city. And the reaction of the population was that which Putin expected the Ukrainians to give to the Russians. Wagner was then able to drive a column of military personnel and weapons through several Oblasts of Russia with virtually NO resistance and stopped ONLY when they chose to by negotiation. THAT terrifies Putin. And don't imagine it doesn't.
