Imagine how quickly this could be over if Ukraine had effective air support! F-16s to Ukraine now! They have experienced, former NATO, volunteer pilots ready to fly them!

@keysersoze1855 True, but they don't need to in order to provide valid training. Ukrainian pilots have been training in the UK on similar generation UK jets with similar operational characteristics, using the same weapons systems, radar and other functional aspects. The UK may also be supplying some of it's jets to Ukraine. The US has been evaluating Ukrainian pilots on F-16s in the USA to determine the training curve to fly F-16s and have determined they can train Ukrainian fighter pilots, experienced in flying MiGs and Soukois, to fly F-16s in about 4 months. I believe the first operational F-16s in Ukraine will be piloted by retired/former NATO F-16 volunteer pilots. An organization has been assembling volunteers for this. They have the pilots, they just need the planes.

@thomasbrodeur797 I believe the war in Ukraine will end when Putin's regime ends. That can be by coup, assassination or death from illness. It could happen soon. I do not think it will be necessary for Ukraine to capture every inch of territory illegally seized by Russia to "win". I believe if the Ukrainian counter offensive liberates some large areas, or isolates Crimea, the oligarchs will toss Putin out and beg forgiveness from the world so they can get back to making billions of dollars. The people who support Putin now, will immediately turn on him and he will become the worst criminal since Stalin. Stalin was their hero until he died, then he immediately became a pariah. The fact that Russia has destroyed bridges west of Bakhmut to disrupt Ukrainian supplies indicates they have no intention of going further.

@keysersoze1855 They have been assembling retired NATO volunteers for that for several months. Those pilots and maintenance personnel will also be training Ukrainian personnel. Ukraine has international support. F-16s, M1 Abrams tanks and other NATO weapons are going to be important after Ukraine wins the war and joins NATO also. The first operational F-16s in the conflict in Ukraine will be operated and maintained by former/retired NATO volunteers. Do you imagine that Ukraine WANTS planes they have no way to fly or maintain?!?!?! 🤣
