  2.  @joesmith34  She is from TX, not a "blue state", but she is from inner city Dallas and a small part of Tarrant County. There ARE some wacko Dem congress people from TX...Sheila Jackson Lee, for example.

  4. Jasmine Crockett IS NOT A REPUBLICAN!!!!!!!! FIX YOUR NOTES!!! I should be obvious from her demeanor that she is NOT "(R-TX)" she is (D-TX). What would "they" say if a white Congress-man talked to a black, woman witness like that? 🤔

  5.  @CalebTrask  Or...you think Sheila Jackson Lee and Jasmine Crockett got elected because of their stellar performance and you haven't looked at the lines of their districts. Republican controlled legislatures always throw a couple of "bones" to the Democrats. Keeps the districting map out of the courts. Crockett's district (in one form or another) has been Democrat since the days of Martin Frost, who was in office for nearly 30 years and THREE re-districtings. Now four re-districtings. Back then, before you were born, you needed a search party to find a Democrat in most of Dallas county, or Collin county for that matter. The people of Plano and McKinney weren't voting for Democrats and Allen, TX was less than 6000 people. But...there he was Martin Frost (D-TX), Democrat AND the first Jewish congressman from Texas. How could it be? Gerrymandering. And, lest we forget Jim Wright, who's district encompassed the Tarrant County end of what is now Crockett's district. Wright was a holdover from when Texas was a majority Democrat state, (in office 1955-1989) before Governor Connolly and would be Senator Phil Graham switched to the Republican party. Gerrymandering kept his district safe, even though he was a crooked as a dog's hind leg (which finally caught up to him) I'm informed, experienced and knowledgeable. I'm not guessing.

  7. Not my Senator. She would have to move out of Texas. I sincerely doubt she will win any state wide office in TX, but fantasy is an important part of life.

  8. I was born and grew up in Texas. And worked 7 years on a US Senator's staff. I'm not guessing. It wouldn't be possible to distribute 38 House seats without including some Democrats, so you put them where they can do the least damage and produce the least effective representatives. Some districts are gerrymandered to produce those results. "Results" such as Jasmine Crockett and Sheila Jackson Lee (who just recently died). They are definitely not a "benefit" to the Democrats, though. What did either Lee or Crockett actually accomplish in Congress? Which legislation that they introduced actually became law? How about...0. See. In almost 30 years in office, she accomplished nothing for Democrats. Perfect for the Republicans who drew her district lines. Without gerrymandering, she couldn't win an election. Don't believe me? In 2023 she couldn't win the Houston Mayoral election. No gerrymandering for that position. She couldn't win the Mayor election in a city she has represented for nearly THIRTY YEARS! Do you know anything about politics? What is your experience in congressional politics?
