Here's the deal: Unless he is CONVICTED of a crime which disqualifies him for federal office (and there aren't too many of those) OR he resigns, there is another election in 2 years and the people of his district can decide. He can be primaried out in the spring of 2024. No one else should be removing an elected official other than his constituents. Period. If McCarthy wants to strip him of committee assignments, fine. That's an internal House rule thing. He is still a Congressman and still gets to vote on bills. Are we going to throw out every elected Representative/Senator/President that "lied on their resume" to get elected or played fast and loose with campaign finance rules? WOW, that's a loooooong list. Anyone else come to mind?
