McAfee kicked it up to judges who don't have to be elected in Fulton Co.

It's called "due process". Every American is entitled to it. As long as Fani is involved this case will NEVER go to trial. There will be endless motions (as there was another yesterday) and each of those decisions can be appealed to THREE levels. Endless motions and appeals. We haven't even gotten to discovery. Discovery will result in dozens MORE motions...and appeals of those decisions. Fani should never have gone into the RICO nonsense, it complicates the case so much that a trial would be YEARS in the making. RICO cases take 4-7 years to get to trial. And Fani is clearly incompetent. No trial will occur. Trump will get elected, the reason for the charges will cease to exist, Fani will get un-elected, and the charges will be dropped.

@michaelsnyder8488 I doubt it in Fulton Co. Disqualifying Willis would probably cost him his job. This way he can say..."It wasn't me, it was those other kids"

@Ron-oe7hg Come back and tell me when I'm wrong.

Trial. This is the process of trial. It's called "due process." RICO cases take 4-7 years to get to trial...IF they have a competent prosecutor.

@AT-nq6cu Kemp HATES Trump. That was an easy answer.

@DantheParodyMan Correct. Our system is designed and intended to make it difficult for the government to take away a citizen's rights and freedom. Add to that, this is the first time in history a former President, and now candidate for President, has been charged with a crime. Also, the charges ALL come from members of the opposite political party. I can assure you that EVERY safeguard of our system is going to be checked and double checked. This is why the Supreme Court is going to weigh in on things like Presidential immunity. It's the first time it's been tested!

@mikew764 Yes, it will. When is the trial date? Hmmm?
1
@mikew764 This is exactly "due process".
1
@mikew764 But the charges have nothing to do with justice. Here's the deal... Once a criminal trial begins (ANY criminal trial) Trump MUST be present in the court for every procedure. That means he cannot campaign...and THAT is what they want. One trial (ANY trial), then another and another. Trump will "due process" the 💩out of them to delay the trials beginning. Let's not forget that his immunity case is before the Supreme Court. NOTHING (except possibly the Alvin Bragg NYC case) can proceed until SCOTUS rules if he has immunity. SCOTUS is almost certain to vacate and remand the immunity ruling of the DC Circuit Court of Appeals (it is THAT BAD!). Whether Trump has immunity or not, THAT ruling will e vacated 7-2 and remanded for reconsideration. That delays everything until August...at minimum. Whatever the DC Circuit rules the 2nd time can also be appealed to SCOTUS, and unless they follow SCOTUS' directions, it will be considered again by SCOTUS. They also fail to realize that Trump is not Biden. He doesn't turn in for the day at 2pm. He can sit in court all day in Atlanta, get an escorted ride to the airport, board his private 757 and be in...(name of state) for a 7pm rally with thousands of supporters. During court breaks, he will make statements to the press which will be carried by every network. He will be on TV more than Biden. These cases ARE his campaign.

And it is EXACTLY "what innocent people do." Or should do.
1
@MikeW165 Innocent people don't "go to trial" if they have a good defense attorney. The charges get dropped or the case is dismissed. You seem to think this is about whether Trump is "innocent" or not. It isn't. They tried to hurt his popularity FAILED. They tried to prevent him being nominated. FAILED. They tried to bankrupt him. FAILED. Now they are trying to prevent him from campaigning by tying him up in court. FAILED. NONE of these charges, even if convicted, would disqualify him as President, and appeals would assure he doesn't go to prison for many more years...if at all. So this is NOT about justice or the rule of law. Never was.
