  5.  @denisereagan8085  That's not how it works in a Republic, Denise. YOU vote for a candidate for a representative and the one with the most votes wins. The THEY vote on the bills. If the bill gets more than 50% of the votes of the elected representatives, it passes. In this case the Ukraine aid bill got 75% of the votes. People opposed to it are a tiny, fringe minority. Tiny, fringe minorities do not govern the country. If you don't like what YOUR representative does, you can vote for someone else as your representative. YOU don't get to vote on each bill. How did your representative vote? MY representative voted AGAINST the bill. But I support the bill. So I will not vote for my representative again. I have already sent him a email to tell him that. If he gets reelected, it will have to be without my vote. But Ukraine will get their aid and the US will remain a world leader...that is part of making America GREAT!

  6.  @denisereagan8085  It is not a binary choice, Denise. If the aid to Ukraine/Israel/Taiwan was denied, YOU wouldn't get any of the money. The federal government has, as it's responsibilities, protecting the US's interests overseas. And that means supporting OUR friends fighting OUR enemies. If it makes you feel better, the largest amount of that money goes to US Citizens who will be building the weapons to replace weapons in our inventory that are sent to Ukraine. They aren't going to drop pallets of cash over Ukraine. You knew that, right? That money is going to US CITIZENS (you have to be a citizen to work for a defense contractor) who have really good paying jobs building artillery guns, shells, HIMARS launchers and rockets, Javelin missiles, etc. Those people live in AL, TN, CA, TX, NC, VA and dozens of other US states. Maybe you can get a job at a defense contractor. There are websites dedicated to job postings at defense contractors. I bet they will have job openings real soon! Cash in, Denise!

  10. HR 2 was already passed by the House to secure the border. Your beef is with Schumer in the Senate. Bills have to be passed by BOTH chambers. It doesn't work for ONE chamber to pass the same bill over and over and over. Schumer and Biden are keeping the border open, NOT Mike Johnson.
