  1. Privately is better. Public hearings in Congress are a joke! With their stupid 5 minute rules and disjointed questioning. In private testimony each side gets 1 hour to ask questions and they usually use experienced staff attorneys to pursue lines of questioning. He can't dodge questions for 5 minutes then go on to the next inane question. This is WHY he didn't want closed door testimony. We will get the transcripts to read.
