  2. His mother was American but, prior to 1934, children born abroad to US Citizen mothers did not receive citizenship without the naturalization process (children of US fathers did). In 1963, the US Congress passed legislation making Churchill a US Citizen. A bust of Winston Churchill was placed in the White House Oval Office by George W. Bush in 2001. Obama removed it. Boris Johnson said Obama removed it because he was part Kenyan and probably hated the UK. 🤣 President Trump put it back in place. Trump's mother was a UK Citizen. In 2021, President* Biden took office and the bust of Winston Churchill got up and walked itself out of the Oval Office, shaking it's head as it left!
