  4.  bill ted  When a single person has a huge influence on the value of a stock, as Musk evidently has, he can influence the value of the stock, up OR down, by his actions out of proportion to the 9.2% of share he owns. Which means he can influence the company out of proportion to the 9.2% he owns. 9.2% is enough to get him a seat on the Board of Directors, for one thing.

  5. ALL businesses "pass along" the costs of ALL thefts. If not in retail prices, then in reduced dividends to stock holders or lower wage increases or curtailed benefits to employees. NO Business "bears the cost" of theft, or any other expense including taxes. ALL business costs are passed along to consumers, employees or the shareholders. That said...and not excusing the thieves, these retailers seem to invite this on themselves with very " liberal, no questions asked, return policies. They also have a "hands off" policy on shoplifting. While I understand that they do not want a store associate confronting a potentially dangerous person, it would seem that the level of theft would justify having trained security present. Even off duty police officers who can make arrests. We also need for prosecutors to charge these people when they are caught.

  6. D'ya think? Let's see, they were "contributing" to a "charity", d'ya think they just MAY have deducted that from their income? LOL In fact, in order to cover their tracks, they WOULD HAVE HAD TO. AND...If the candidate they contributed to in 2016 had won, we would never have heard of ANY of this. Do you think the DOJ Hillary bought and paid for would go after these people?
