When her restaurant closed, she got NJ and Federal unemployment benefits which exceeded her usual pay. As it did for 81% of people laid off nationwide. AND amazingly, they used the time and money to reevaluate their career and/or train themselves for a new career. The same thing millions of other people did. NOW they wonder where all the restaurant, hospitality and retail workers went.

Not only did these people figure out that their livelihood was subject to a lying, conniving doctor no one ever voted for, but that same doctor damaged permanently many industries including business travel, commercial real estate, hospitality and food service. Continued oppression by other dictators using "emergency orders" that demand vaccine evidence to eat at a restaurant have decimated jobs that rely on tips. They had no choice but to find other employment. Dr. Fauci hasn't been fired yet! Despite his lies, he still has control of millions of people's jobs and lives.

@Smile200-z4y Because local politicians sometimes win their election by 9 votes and you can actually go and face them at local board meetings and speak directly to them. They also are not paid, or paid very little, and have real jobs supporting real families. So, they are kind of like YOU. National politicians are insulated and, but for a very few, are in carefully Gerrymandered districts that are either Red or Blue. Of 435 seats in the House, for example, there are only about 31 that have any real chance of "flipping" in a normal election. Even Senators, elected statewide, are fairly "safe" with only a few being threatened by election.
