  1. I have a S&W Model 29 "Mountain Gun" and LOVE it. It has the tapered barrel, round butt grip, but still is a steel frame and cylinder. It has a little more recoil than the regular Model 29, but not too much. I always thought these scandium/titanium models would be brutal to shoot. Obviously designed to carry a LOT more than they are designed to be shot. Sticky extraction? No Problem. Scott just uses his cell phone/hammer. 🤣 Seriously, that is a sign of excessive pressure. Those loads are telling you something. Were they my handloads, I would back off the powder charge a little. Underwood loads them pretty hot. The raccoons and opossums in your neighborhood must LOVE all that gravy and cheese and watermelon. They hear shooting and are waiting in the bushes for you to leave.
