Though I was offered one for FREE, I chose to purchase my own approved alternate, a SIG P228, which was my primary duty handgun for 19 years of plainclothes duty. Prior to that, for uniform duty, I had DA revolvers and a Beretta 92FS. As I have said many times, I wouldn't have a striker fired, trigger dingle pistol on me if you gave it to me FREE and paid me to carry it. DA/SA or DAO hammer fired ONLY.
