  1. The government needs to get out of the student loan business. Let colleges and universities underwrite the loans. The same way auto manufacturers do. If they want to be on the hook for $100,000+ loans to unemployed 18 year olds, let them risk THEIR money (and profit from the interest). NOT MINE!

  2. So...if I didn't go to college because I didn't have the money and didn't want to go into debt, I get nothing? I bet that goes over well in the minority communities. So...If I went to college and have student debt, BUT I chose a useful, marketable degree and now earn $200,000 year as a doctor, lawyer, accountant, engineer...I have to pay for MY college loan AND the college loan for the liberal arts degree of the Starbucks Barista? So...if my children will begin college next year, I get nothing? So...if I took out a HELOC to pay for my child's education, I get nothing? So...Biden expects this will result in a net gain in votes for Democrats?

  3.  @jaxonl7810  Why? If properly managed financing will be a source of income for colleges and universities, just as it is for auto manufacturers, home mortgage lenders and credit card companies. And if it is THEIR money, it WILL BE properly managed.
