@bvegannow1936 FYI, the statue of limitation for such "crimes" is 5 years. You miss the bigger picture. 1. The President's security clearance is valid until he dies...as is the security clearance of former cabinet members and heads of intelligence agencies. So he IS allowed to have classified documents, and still gets classified security briefings. 2. The President can classify or declassify any document he choose at any time as President. If those documents were declassified by Trump before he packed them and left office, they are no longer classified and he could use them to line his bird cage and thrown them in the trash if he chooses.

Trump made some mistakes in his appointments. He also FIRED them when they didn't do what he expected. Unlike Biden who chooses incompetent people and then leaves them in place.

Trump was smart to plead the 5th. It's a civil trial, no need to expose yourself to a perjury trap for something that can result, at worst, in some monetary judgement. Give her a hand to face. Let her chase you for years, challenge every subpoena and then, when she "wins"...refuse to answer her questions. The only thing the courts can do is force you to sit in a chair at a given time and place. They can't make you talk. The whole thing was a perjury trap. No matter what he said, they would find someone that said something different and go after him on perjury. Very wise, Mr. President! Double barrel middle finger!!!!!!!
