Any repair shop I have ever used, be it for lawn mowers, electronics, a gunsmith, etc., ALL of them had a release you sign stating that if you do not pick up your item and pay for the repair within XX days, you forfeit the property and the shop can sell it to recoup their loss. This is standard business practice.
