  1. If 23 states ban abortion...27 states don't. You want an abortion and you live in one of the 23 states that ban abortion? Then you take a short drive, or plane flight, to a state that allows it. NO ONE living in the United States will ever be more than a few hours travel time from a safe, legal abortion. FWIW, before Roe v. Wade, 20 states banned abortion. I doubt 23 would now. I would guess no more than 10-12 would ban abortion entirely and another 10-12 may limit the term which abortions are legal. Abortion has NEVER BEEN a major election issue for any but a very few people. If it had been a big issue, we would not have gone another 49 years after Roe v. Wade without federal legislation protecting a woman's "right" to abortion. In fact, abortion has always been a very polarizing issue, for either side, and that is why the Federal government never touched the issue in Congress. This decision (IF this is the decision) will actually take the issue OUT of federal politics and put it back to the states. I expect it could have more impact on Governor's elections than Senators.
