  1. McCarthy should demand, without negotiation: 1. Equal representation on any "select committee". Select committees are intended to study issues, NOT to pass legislation. There is no reason to politicize it with unequal representation. 2. That McCarthy assign the Republican members without being questioned 3. That the Republican members have the same subpoena power as Democrats and cannot be overruled 4. The Republicans and Democrats can call on the same number of witnesses to testify Anything else is a Democrat witch hunt. McCarthy should not allow ANY Republican to participate if those demands are not met. If Liz Cheney wants to join in, let her switch parties to do so.

  2.  @bonsa1guy  Exactly. We don't need ANY "select committees". That I said McCarthy should demand those conditions does not mean I actually want a select committee. It's called "a poison pill". Demand something they KNOW Nancy Pelosi will not accept and FORCE her to do her own thing without ANY participation from Republicans. The results of any such committee's "study" can be dismissed out of hand as partisan and political. No need to "play fair".
