ALL Presidents since Nixon have voluntarily released their tax returns. Some President before that did so. It is not required by law, but every President has done so since President Ford. You can look them up in the same device you used to announce to everyone your ignorance on this subject. It's OK, knowledge is optional for posting comments on YouTube. I had no problem with Trump NOT releasing his taxes, it is not required. But do not imagine that other Presidents have not. They have.

@michaelbagain8564 It's the internet, Michael. Admission price is very low and knowledge is optional for posting comments. Even though they walk around all day with everything they "want" is in the same device they used to announce their willful ignorance.

@nelsonfranco7849 Of course you do. But if someone wants to waste their time looking at the carefully cultivated tax returns of politicians who have been President, they are certainly welcome to. I just gave them the way to access them. Some people seem to think it's important. I don't.

That was the plan all along.

@agentj7852 You can see George W's. Look them up online. Nixon never released his. He's dead. So you won't be seeing them.

@kdee8166 Why? Because of the tax code written by Congress. Everyone uses the tax code to their advantage. I do. You do. I take every deduction and credit I can. So did Trump. He has more deductions and carryovers than me. Whose fault is that? Trump's? Or Congress? 47% of Americans pay NO income tax. Ask Congress why. There is no accusation of wrongdoing by Trump. His taxes have been audited and investigated by everyone. You want to know how he legally avoided paying tax...read the tax code. Trump did not release his taxes because he is not REQUIRED TO. Yes, other Presidents have released their tax returns voluntarily. That does NOT obligate anyone else to do it. You don't have to like that. The problem, if you call it that, is that the US Constitution establishes the requirements to run for federal office. Releasing income taxes is not one of them. Do not expect a Constitutional Amendment requiring it anytime soon.
