  1. Her stupid "sign law" proposal will backfire. 1. "Compelled speech" is as unconstitutional as restricted speech. Plenty of SCOTUS decisions on that already 2. Most states require a sign on businesses to DENY concealed carry. I live in Florida...the state that has issued more concealed carry licenses than any other...and we rarely, if ever, see those signs. Businesses don't mind having people carrying guns. The "guns allowed" signs will be a lot more common in NY than she thinks. 3. "Concealed" has a meaning. I have carried a handgun every day since 1973. As an off duty police officer for 36 years and now, retired, as a licensed civilian. In 49 years NO ONE has ever noticed I am a carrying a handgun. šŸ˜Ž People really are inspecting you to see if they can spot a handgun while they are grocery shopping.

  3. She got some more bad yesterday, when SCOTUS vacated and remanded cases which banned large capacity magazines, assault rifles and open carry. We have only begun to see the fallout from the Bruen decision. And don't forget that the EPA decision yesterday has clearly limited Federal Agencies to the powers granted to them by legislation. That means FRTs are NOT "machineguns" and neither are bump stocks, pistol braces can't be banned and neither can 80% receivers or parts kits...not without federal legislation. Hochul still imagines she can ignore SCOTUS...she is in for a big surprise.

  6. Ā @donf3877Ā  True. I live in Florida. I very rarely see any such signs. I can't remember the last time I did. One small correction to your comment. while you cannot be arrested for "violating" the sign, BUT if a property owner/manager asks you to leave because he saw you are carrying a gun, and you DON'T leave, you CAN be arrested for "armed trespass" and THAT is a felony. But again, I have rarely seen those signs and no one has ever noticed me carrying a handgun, and I am ALWAYS armed.
