UPDATE: The initial charge was unlawful possession of a weapon because he did not have a concealed carry license. He claimed self defense in the shooting. The initial charge was a misdemeanor, he was released on $25,000 surety bond. The bond was appropriate for the charges at that time Since then, just Monday afternoon, he has been taken back into custody and charged with 9 counts of aggravated assault & battery and attempted murder. Another man has also been arrested and charged with unlawful carrying a weapon, aggravated assault & battery and attempted murder. A third man is being sought.
