While I'm not completely sure about the entire process in making cornflakes, I doubt that there is any fungus involved at all. Your take on organic is fine, but personally I don't believe organic is especially good for humans. Right now, Sri Lanka is having a food crisis, which was brought on by the Prime Minister banning the imprortation of chemicals. I would suggest you try to make a living for at least one year by growing and selling foodstuffs before you make up your mind about the benefits of "organic". . Corn production is at or very near all-time highs. It is a wonderful gift from God to have so much food at such cheap prices. . Corn made into cereal is definitely not of the cheapest variety, if you believe cheap equals "bad". . I have read a lot of material about John Harvey Kellogg, and while it is true he was eccentric in some areas, he was the undisputed number one physician for nearly 20 years around the turn of the 20th century. Many things we take for granted today in the medical world were introduced or made popular by him. For example, did you know that often doctors prescribed blowing tobacco smoke on sick people, even infants in the 1860s? Ellen White, God's messenger, was shown by God that this practice was very bad, told Kellogg, and he did a lot to put a stop to it. Praise God we don't have to endure that today! . Good luck on making your own cornflakes! Sounds like a lot of fun. :)

So Jesus is talking about man's traditions, not God's laws. Jesus himself said in a different place: Matt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. . So do we see Jesus or any of His followers ever eating unclean meat? If not, then why do many Christians today think that is OK? Perhaps it is because they are following man-made traditions in order to avoid following God's holy words?

Don't you realize that God earlier destroyed probably hundreds of millions of humans in the Great Flood (including babies) because if there were allowed to have their own way, they would destroy everyone, and no one would ever be saved? In a smaller context, that is what is going on with those who tempted the Israelites in the desert. . God wants us to reason with him. Ask him questions. He will answer. He is a loving, kind God, but he will punish the transgressors. Instead of choosing to be a transgressor, why not repent, and follow God today?

Sure, some people living in the countryside would kill and eat whatever came their way, but for the vast majority of Japanese, eating four-legged animals was prohibited by Buddhism, and the people followed that prohibition until the beginning of the Meiji period in 1868. . Of course in the Bible it says that those who honor their parents will be rewarded with long life, and the Japanese have traditionally been very good at taking care of their aged parents.
