Yes, God will forgive us if we repent from our sins, but the idea that it is OK to marry a non-christian is very strong in Japan, and actually, among a majority of Christians in general. @LeoVital Leo, Tourism is a definitely bigger than a "tiny part" of the Japanese economy. Foreigners dropped 5.8 TRILLION jpy in just the first 9 months of this year, so this year's total will be more than the govt. spends on its military.

@pcho93 pcho, I've seen some reports of Vietnamese young people going back because wages are about the same for some jobs in Vietnam. Wages for teachers hasn't budged in 35 years, and maybe even gone down a bit, but the price of rice is almost 3 times higher!

The facts on the ground here in Japan are that very few people know about the bad things their country did leading up to, and in WWII. And it is just getting worse, the further removed we get from those times. I've had several old Japanese guys tell me very quietly, that they were glad America won the war, because if Japan had won, they would have kept fighting and fighting and fighting until there was no one left to fight.

My friends in India tell me that the infrastructure the British built is still about the only infrastructure they have in their NorthEastern region, as the Indian govt. doesn't do much for them. Also, Indians were always fighting each other all the time, and Great Britain made them one, cohesive country.

I've given many years to try and lead my wonderful Japanese friends to their Creator - Jesus Christ, but for men, the company must be number one in their lives, and for women, while they have more freedom, many are concerned that if they become Christian, they will break the harmony among their family and friends. . Have courage, God is perhaps using this virus to soften peoples' hearts. Please understand that I've seen many missionaries come to Japan with high hopes, and then start compromising after a few years, and finally quit doing missionary work altogether, or even giving up the faith!

If you repent and follow your Creator who loves you so much he even died on a cross to save you from your sins, you will experience eternal happiness with him in heaven. If you don't, you get the path you are currently on - eternal death.
