Politicians serve the wealthy instead of the underclass because they are beholden to the wealthy for their large campaign donations and because bigger companies can afford better and more lobbyists. Those wealthy donors end up with special privileges that allow them to make even more money, leading to a consolidation of wealth and power. This is the inevitable outcome of Capitalism.

  2. The pay ratio between CEOs and their average workers used to be around 20:1. Now its more like 100:1, sometimes 300:1 or 900:1. Are CEOs 100 or more Times as superior to the average worker now than in years past? This guy isn't giving common sense- he's giving B*S*

  6. blackbette07 Agreed that government regulation and taxation of Small business is oppressive. Meanwhile, big corporations benefit from the regulations because they already have the money to buy and manipulate their way out of the regulations and taxes (think Too Big to Fail banks). The issue of inequality does not align with Republican (less government power) or Democrat (less corporate power) thought because BOTH government and the large corporate/monopolistic entities are a threat to average americans. You can call it Crony Capitalism, Socialism for the Rich, an Oligopoly or a Plutocracy- it's all the same message. You said "Politicians serve themselves and people who support them" The people or corporate "people" that have the greatest ability to "support" (aka- donate) are the wealthiest. So, in other words- I agree with you.
