The beauty of Hindu Philosophy is all rituals are optional….there is nothing mandatory as laid down in texts etc. This democratization of the Philosophy is its strength. It is said in the Gita that for those who understand the philosophy methods and rituals are unimportant…. Tailpiece: Know the philosophy…

@crtp47 Ch II 46 The Gita Yavan artha udapane Sarvatha samplutodake Tavan sarvesu vedesu Brahmanasya vijanatah As is the use of a pond in a place flooded with water everywhere, so is that of all the Vedas for the Brahmin who understands. “Just as one who gets water from the river does not attach importance to a well, , so the wise do not attach any importance to ritual action” For those of illumined consciousness, ritual observances are of little value. Brahmin as in those days means a learned person. Not a caste. The exploitation is a societal aberration and not religious Hinduism was not, is not and will not be a religion in the real sense of religions. It is a way of life The caste system was/is a bane of society and not of any religion. Enjoy

During the 70s and 80s China was a poor Nation. That is, far poorer than it is now. But even then, they were well ahead on the LAC deployment than India. We too have now improved our deployment since the 80s. But we are not there in the infrastructure. Since a couple of decades, after China became less poor, for various reasons (I am not discussing them) it has attempted to unilaterally alter the LAC. It is moot how successful they have been, but it would not be a surprise given their better preparedness over decades after 62. Indias neglect of the borders with China since 1962 has been admitted by the Defence Minster Mr. AK Antony on the floor of the house more than a decade ago. China has its fingers (pun intended) all over. Wherever there is a dispute (there sure is on the LAC, especially in eight locations) it is either settled by force or through negotiations. Negotiations means “give and take” without bloodshed. War also means give and take after wasteful expenditures and bloodshed. Points for consideration are: 1. War or negotiations. 2. Is India politically ready for negotiations? 3. Is China ready to negotiate? 4. Is India ready for war? 5. Does China want war? 6. Will internal bickering (in nIndian media and parliament etc…) on a well-known situation help India or China? 7. Is China aiming to destablise India politically (a sure enough aim of any Nation to destablise its neighbour), even proposed as an instrument of war by Chanakya. 8. Are there other options for India like Internationalising the dispute etc. (Not recommended due to obvious reasons as everybody involved will want their pound of flesh) and also extend their “help” all over the place. I am no expert of any sort and have only put out my views as I see the situation. I may be missing a lot.. but then, a view is a view… right? Tailpiece: Could Mr. Rahul Gandhi or any other bureaucrat / political leader address these issues….. or can we hav

Why is there no widespread condemnation of such vitriolic rhetoric in the media…. Where are the intellectuals and experts hiding

You decide. If Mo***r*****r or BC in Punjabi etc are okay in public discourses and stand up comedies especially for kids etc…. Why censor? Let us use colourful language always in a colourful company… thus guy then collect some Parma award too for championing free speech

Sure questions or grills…. ?Great language used by the media for MP’s discussion. Setting right examples for the younger generation… Right? Can better language be used, IE? ‘

Of course now “democracy” Will make a grand return in the forms of protests, road blocks, hartals, strikes, walk outs in parliament, fake narratives (new in the age of digital media), media sensationalism and TRPs etc…

Why not a comparison of usefulness for progress and development…. Why bait the electorate, Media should answer why not discuss development as IMF terms India a star performer in economy front…. Get the point? Be useful to society not useless Tailpiece: It is the media who is divisive…. Not the politicians nor the people….. talk of development and progress not about caste etc…. If the media does not talk on these lines there will be no caste distinctions…

@ Modi is transitory… India is permanent.. more apt to use India here when Mauritius is used on the other side.

@ArunachalaVallalPerumaan unrelated to the topic under discussion, Arunachalam…. Enjoy

@ArunachalaVallalPerumaan okay ARUN… just a suggestion …do not waste time discussing “irrelevant” ( as per you) topics…your time, I am sure, is more valuable… stay well… no malice… enjoy

It is obvious… you can’t progress doing nothing. Right? Unfortunate that an expert economist turned politician… we had MMS nixed earlier

Over thirty top companies of the World with a net value of over a trillion dolars are led by Infdian origin CEOs. Given the circustance, capabilities of Indians to achieve is beyond doubt. India is changing fast these days, WITH SUCH OPPORTUNITIES hopefully being facilitated in our country after many decades of decadence. My appeal to the Indian “Opposition” political parties is that for your dynastic, sectorial, parochial, power mongering agenda, do not muddy the waters with a “fight” against nonexistent apparitions of ideology and “threat to democracy”. We Indians are aware that you are aware , but are blinded by lust for power. Do not upset the banana cart – be more erudite and fight on the platform of development and progress. Tailpiece: Humanity has tried for millennia and failed to serve the right food for the soul of the people through religions etc…. concentrate on getting the food on the dinner table. With governments in more than half the federal states from parties other than one in the centre, democracy in India is flourishing. Your (opposition) recent meet is another instance of free speech and expression.
