  1. This is a uncalled for comparison. Under N Rao, MM had a free run. He excelled. Under UPA, MM was a dummy PM. Unfortunate.

  2. Great economist , yes definitely. Unfortunately , he did not have any freedom as PM (well known). He did not have the freedom to even "advice " the UPA. Narasimha Rao gave him freedom and he excelled. But... M

  6.  @ht5389  Gimme a second please. I get your point. But all the programmes you have cited are welfare schemes and do not relate to bettering the economy. My point is simple. A great bowler like Jasprit Bumrah is made the Captain of the Indian cricket team. While doing that the BCCI tells him “the manger will take all decisions and you will not bowl”. How do we then expect JB to lead the the team and perform? JB will still remain a great bowler. So was MM Singh under UPA. Enjoy.

  7.  @Chris_1979  Sure Darwin. . There is a world of difference between an idea and a deed . And don't ever forget the perpetual red numbers in the OMCs, not reflected in the budget but helped the economy . THAT is no great econimics. Is it?
