A typical example of the following. All this talk of NO REAL consequence to anybody, except the media and some "opinionators" (if I may) who can "feel" they are doing something important. The real problem with democracy in India (also in all big democracies anywhere else in the world too) is, for good or bad, that elections are all about what we feel and not about what we think. The politicians and the media by their utterances channelize our feelings and not our thoughts. This reliance on feelings may be the undoing of liberal democracy in India and all over the world, which has even now degenerated into a puppet show controlled by emotional strings. The Governments, media and all other constitutional bodies are scared to tell the people to behave, especially in Pandemic times!!!! Tailpiece: Yuval Noah Harari says,".... feelings are not some divine qualities and they definitely do not reflect “free will”. I wonder where is democracy without thoughts.
