  1. The WORLD (NYT, Economist etc..) is aghast at India and is wondering how India can be pluralistic and Nationalistic at the same time. In a pluralistic (BJP has only 1,385 out of the 4,120 MLAs) democracy like India, it will be a surprise only if political parties do not leverage this sentiment one way or the other….by attending or not attending.
