It is all very well to have a coordinated action by “opposing” political dispensations in a democracy. From a standoffish view there is a problem in this coordinated action. Firstly, the stated aim of these CMs is defeat of BJP. Secondly, these local parties were formed and came to power on promises for local and parochial development (if I may). Thirdly if India does not become a strong UNION of states, as stated in the Constitution, it will lose out globally. You can add such fourthly, fifthly etc…. Politics is not only about winning and losing as made out by political parties (by giving away freebies. and subsidies) and unfortunately by the media. It is much more about governance and the economy. Tailpiece: whose Nation is it anyway?
